#22 Listening & obeying the Imam

Chapter: Listening to and obeying the Imam (i.e., Muslim ruler) (if he abides by Allah's Orders).

Saheeh Bukhari

Hadith 2955.

Narrated Ibn 'Umer رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُمٱ The Prophet said صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّم , "It is obligatory for one to listen to and obey (the Muslim ruler's orders) unless these orders involve one in disobedience (to Allah) ; but if an act of disobedience (to Allah) is imposed, one should not listen to or obey it."
