The Book of Ar-Riqaq (Softening of the Hearts)

(6) Chapter : The deed which is done seeking Allah's Countenance (i.e., for the sake of Allah سُبْحَانَهُۥ وَتَعَالَىٰ. A narration related by Sa'd deals with this.

Hadith 6424.

Narrated Abu Hurairah رَضِيَ ٱللَّٰهُ عَنْهُ: Allah's Messenger صَلَّى ٱللَّٰهُ عَلَيْهِۦ وَسَلَّمَ said: "Allah says, 'I have nothing to give but Paradise as a reward to my slave, a true believer of Islamic Monotheism, who , if I cause his dear friend (or relative) to die, remain patient (and hope for Allah's reward).'"
