بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم
Al 7amdulillah we've opened a new section which in sha' ALLAH will help many people to learn the Qur'anic Arabic. The main source for now will be an easy to use Qur'anic Dictionary by Shaikh AbdulKarim Parekh which can be downloaded here: http://islambasics.com/view.php?bkID=60&chapter=1 for those who for some reasons can't download it or would like to follow it here, we've decided in sha' ALLAH to post 10-15 words daily to learn, starting with words from surah Al Fatiha and till the end of the Qur'an. Another source i'll be using is Al Mawrid Arabic-English dictionary and http://www.searchtruth.com/chapter_display.php for easy copy-pasting. By the time we manage to learn all the words bi'ithniLLAH, we'll be able to understand a huge part of Arabic in sha' ALLAH. Hopefully we can include from time to time some Grammar to be able to understand more, in sha' ALLAH. NB: Arabic is a rich language, so the meanings we give here are not restricted to them only but the word might have broader scale. We'll just mention the meaning we need, the meaning from the Qur'an translation. We'll put it by the scheme: Arabic - transliteration - translation to make it easier. Hope this will be beneficial. Let's get started بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Lesson 1 Surah 1: الفَاتِحَة - Al-Fatihah - The Opening
1. أوُوْذُ - a`outhu - I take refuge, I seek protection 2. بِ - bi- with, in 3. مِنْ - min - from, of, 4. رَجِيم - rajeem - stoned, cursed, damned 5. اِسم - ism - name 6. لرَّحۡمَـٰن - Ar-Rahman - the Beneficent, the Compassionate 7. ٱلرَّحِيمِ - Ar-Raheem - the Merciful, the Compassionate 8. ٱلۡحَمۡد - Alhamdu - the praise, thanks, 9. لِ - li - for, because of, due to, 10. رَبِّ ٱلۡعَـٰلَمِين - rabb-al-`alameen - Sustainer of the worlds, Lord of the worlds / creatures 11. مَالِك - maalik - owner, king, master 12. يَوْمِ - yawm - day 13. الدِّينِ - addeen - judgment, religion, faith, creed
As i promised from 10-15 words daily to make it easy in sha' ALLAH. Make sure to memorize them all (with the meanings) it will surely help you in future wa ALLAH a`lam P.S. i might be absent on weekends though
